i would like to buy a laptop for me but i don't know much about notebooks/laptops, i just want a laptop that can suit my needs, the only major thing i would be doing is to play bf2 that's it, i dont care if i play it on low, as low as it run and smooth i'm happy.
i kind of leaning on this specific laptop:

i don't want to spend more than a grand on it, so this looks good to me

I assume you would want to play BF2 online. What is the point of the laptop except that its portable. Go for a desktop.

Thats a good lappy. It will play Bf2 smoothly. But are you sure you don't want to get a 17" notebook?

You won't have to worry about playing BF2 on low with that. But the resolution is kinda small (the same resolution on my 13.3" lappy), but I guess that's what you'd expect. Still an overall decent notebook.

Unrelated, but is there a widescreen fix for BF2 without stretching the image? sorry for the hijack >_>

Yep.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
