yet more RNC lies!
I didn't catch the beginning of the convention, was it conveyed to the audience that it was a authentic video featuring real soldiers?Ender2309 wrote:

i'm not sure, but i see no gain in saying its make believe when you can get away with calling it real.TrueMusou wrote:

That's true, but I doubt this will be the straw that will break the camel's back. Nice find though.Ender2309 wrote:

me too. but so many lies. i'm a registered republican but John McCain is in this for himself, not for the people.TrueMusou wrote:

Sorry, but I think it would have been in poor taste to film a real soldier's funeral, to be honest. If it was a representative funeral, and not one supposed to be for a particualr soldier, than I have no problem with it.Ender2309 wrote:

First off: she's a politician. That's what they do.
Second off:
You know how they cast really attractive women who can't act in Movies, so that men will go see them, and women will have "someone to identify with"? This looks like a political version of that.
Honestly, she doesn't seem like the brightest woman

I was wondering how they got aweay with having members of the armed forces seem like they were supporting mccain. thats against the law.Ender2309 wrote:

Vote McCain if you want a better paycheck, isn't that what they said to you about Bush during the early days
yup. then I found out that congress raises pay every year.
Bush actually saw the lowest pay raise for soldiers in years.
Oh, yeah, McCain voted against having my veterans benefits raised for school because its just "too much money"

Yeah, this is a government to serve under in their political wars. Maybe we can go back into somalia and then tuck tail and run the first time there is real combat and the media gets wind of it?God Save the Queen wrote:

he might have mentioned something about being in a North Vietnamese POW camp once or twice.
Yeah because Somalia is worth spending money and blood on, has been a long-time ally of the US, were a threat to the US homeland and is amply abundant in resources... lolLotta_Drool wrote:

Do you think US military personnel's lives are a toy or something?

sounds vaguely familiar...God Save the Queen wrote:

I like how he makes use of the widely-encompassing word 'we.'CameronPoe wrote:

To be fair, I'd imagine Somalia poses a considerable threat to US shipping in the area. At least, they have a lot more potential to attack US property than Iraq.CameronPoe wrote:

not really. they don't care about us in the slightest. too busy killing each other.ghettoperson wrote:

I find it hypercritical that Democrats will point out that because she's a mom she can't have a career at the same time, but cheer on women in the workplace doing the same?Ender2309 wrote:
while i do agree with you, one must admit that she can't control her children and their actions. her child's mistake should not be her own. however, it should be noted that for a person who puts family first this suggests she cannot both effectively hold office and enforce her parenting judgment on her children.
When Joe Biden was a single parent (his wife died), he commuted back and forth between Washington and his home on a train...I don't recall anyone chastising him for doing that?
No, but you have to agree the hypocrisy...we'll send troops into Iraq to 'stop a dictator to free the Iraqi people from oppression', but we don't go into Africa to save 1,000,000 slaughtered Christians.CameronPoe wrote:

Don't worry, once we have a drone army it'll all be about money to go into these places; we'll be able to have a 9-5 jobs and control robots half-way around the world.

you're comparing mountains and molehills here. the vice president of the united states is a 24/7 job. being sally office is a 9-5, and your kids are at school for most of that time anyways.Harmor wrote:

and for the record, i don't support women in the workplace. if you have a family, either the mother or the father needs to give up their career to raise the family.
