Metallica Giving New Album Away With Deluxe Edition Ticket Package

According to The Pulse Of Radio, METALLICA is offering a Death Magnetic Experience pre-sale ticket package between now and September 13th, the official general on-sale date for tickets to the band's upcoming North American tour. Members of the group's fan club have already had first crack at tickets, and now American Express cardholders will get their shot on Monday and Tuesday (September 8th and September 9th), followed by a general public pre-sale on Wednesday (September 10th). The package includes purchase of up to four tickets with better seating, a free download of the show you attend at LiveMetallica.com, and delivery "right to your door" of the band's new CD, Death Magnetic. The pre-sale ends at midnight on September 12th.

The band states: "For each ticket you buy, you get a copy of the album. If you purchase four tickets, you get four copies of the CD. Don't need four copies? Give one to your friends, your mom, or a random dude on the street... just spread the new album to as many ears as possible."

Metallica died with Cliff Burton, "And Justice for All" is an ok album....but all the songs sound kind of the same. The black album is a step towards the "Load" album which is not just a clever name. When the Tampa Bay Devil Rays were a new team and still really sucked you could get 2 free tickets when you bought just about anything in Florida...fast food meals, newspapers, 12 packs of soda, what Metallica is doing seems similar. "C'mon guys....come see our show, we're still cool.....right?"     No Metallica.....no you are not in fact "cool"

I still say it was when Cliff died which was when they were touring in europe for "master of puppets" Cliff made them a thrash/metal band with something unique, He added a certain "Cliffness" to the band, without which they became.........well, lame.

First Metallica sues the peer-to-peer concept into the floor because it is "fundamentally dangerous to the music industry and the interest's of the artists", and then five years later they're trying to cash-in on the Internet and downloading music? Wahahah! That's the biggest hypocrisy going. Lars Ulrich was one of the first (and only) major-label whinebags to take a P2P network to court (Napster) and now 10 years later they're using the same idea as a marketing gimmick.

It wasn't as if Metallica's totally awful sound and music as of late hadn't already put me off. But this comedy has definitely sealed it in concrete that I'll never listen to these moany old men again.

You're nuts. After Lightening, Black was their best album. Oddly enough, Load sounds similar to Black but is a total piece of crap. St. Anger should be stricken from the record and never mentioned again.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that Metallica were one of the first big bands that took a great big shit on the Internet back in the day... you know, back when they were cool and the "in" thing themselves- back when they had the teeniest bit of influence in the music-industry. Go see a doctor asap.  Their best albums are Kill 'Em All and Master of Puppets.  Then Ride and Justice come second.  The Black album sounds good, but any regular Joe not liking metal likes it, which IMO doesn't tell it's a good album.  Load and Reload are shit and St. Anger is the biggest shit in metal history.
