Yeah, this 'step-up' in technology and visual standards costs such a lot of extra money that it actually contradicts the point of a console- a cheap and fun gaming centre for your living room. If the 'next gen' consoles pretty much require a HDTV in order to kick-out maximum graphics, it really makes you ask why you should purchase one when you can get a perfectly-capable gaming PC for the same money.mtb0minime wrote:

Read what I worte. The Wii is for kids and for gamers who don't care about having a top notch system. The 1337 system today is the PS3, you take it out of the box and it runs ok whatever game you play on it, while the PC needs a lot of resources to run a modern game with decent graphics. Nintendo did this with a limited supply as well. If they sold for $100 more I would imaging the would still sell.
A "1337" system would be a "PC"
Sorry but I have a decent PC and a PS3 with HDTV and I can tell you games look better on the PS3 and you don't use your HDTV just for gaming, you can also watch TV on it.Uzique wrote:

MGS4 is just a single player game isn't it? I'm sure we can go back and forth about games that run on this thing that don't run on that and visa versa. Besides this is my opinion and do have a PS3, a PC, and a Wii. There is nothing 1337 about something you don't put any work into.sergeriver wrote:
