EA should make the Knife throwable!?

Yes or No? Thoughts.......

I think it would be cool to have throwable and retrievable knifes! If Rambo and Commando can
do it, then we should be able to in the game.....hehe.

I think an mod for BF Vietnam allowed this very thing.

Uhm, I believe Soldier Of Fortune had this option, and honestly; im opposed, what's next? Beating an enemy to death with a m11-87 ' duke nukem' style?

Yep, a nice melee attack with your rifle would be cool too! Just adding alittle more depth to the game.

I have never played SOF, so I'm pretty sure a BF:Vietnam Mod had it in place.

Knife throwing, wrench whacking and hand to hand combat in general would be sweet. Perhaps it would make the game to much of an infantry game though and that already seems to be a problem the way it is now.

Coming from MOH-Spearhead I'd love to have the ability to bash someones skull in. When your low on ammo and have the jump on them but no time for knife the butt end of your weapon works great.

agree all weapons should have an melee atk but for the knife i think that would be better if u only slash with it cuz its an real option, i mean u could trow the knife but r u sure that it would hit with the edge? so slashing is a better option for me.

The knife already kills with one shot. If you need to take someone out at any other range, equip your pistol. If given the option, I'd carry extra magazines before grabbing throwing knives.

That would be funny if you could kill someone with thirty pounds of dropped ammo, but which would come first? The resupply point or the punish?

Oh my God! LOL What?! As soon as I read this as one of the forum posts on the BF2S main, I had to start laughing and check this out. That would be a HORRIBLE idea! But in some weird and chaotic way, hilarious as hell. Everyone would be stock Assault kits using the smoke grenades pretending their ninjas.

I know I'd do that:

*In the heat of combat, bullets and explosions, a single gas grenade is tossed out*
Aardcore: NINJA VANISH!
*Gas grenade explodes as smoke spills a small area of the battlefield and suddenly the sound of flying steel sounds as an infamous Battlefield 2 death scream sounds*

I think that throwing knifes ability must be included in SF only . In vanilla a hit with stock is needed .

It's still possible. Grab the assault kit, pop a smoke on some infantry taking a flag, and run in with your knife blazing.

NO! This isn't Ninja Gaiden, no GI is going to throw his knife at some guy. First of all it probably wont kill the guy, just piss him off, it might not even make it past the body armor if he's wearing any. Throwing Knife = Useless

Aardcore is right, there would be a bunch of wanna be ninjas on every server for two days before they realise, "Oh crap, they have GUNS!".

"Don't bring a knife to a gun fight" - the knife is a last resort, unless you're stat padding or going for you knife badge.
