My old 19" LCD (non windscreen) just died So I went to look for a new one and all I can fined at future shop and London drugs is wide screen ones. So what is happening why is pretty much every thing moving to a windscreen format?

Why not?
What is it you don't like about wide screen?

I like the medium wide screen-formats. 16:10 and 16:10 are nice on the eyes. 221:100 and such are just a pain, though.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

I prefer having 2 or 3 4:3 monitors, I don;t really like the idea of having "Seamless" screens, as you said, it makes it tough on the eyes.

But having a couple 4:3 makes it easy on the brain organization wise.

Choices; One 16:10 or one 4:3?

For me, I'm a Hardcore CRT user, so 1(or 3) 4:3 CRT's.

I'm actually getting 2 more within this week, one on Tuesday, and one or Saturday, My desk'll be epic.

I'll be sure to post pics

It'll be epic before cuz it's gonna have 5 monitors on it(3 CRT's, a MacTop, and Moms Hp laptop which always seems to be on my desk fro some form of repairs)

And after cuz it'll be a 5 perfectly working monitors in a mash on the floor.

That's beside the point.

In televisions yes. Never seen a monitor though.

Rare cases. It is completely possible to make them. I think Sony has a model or two.

Well if I could get just one, and I didn't have to pay for it(that's what's great about CRT's, you can get 2 decent ones for $10)

Then I WOULD get a 16:9

But otherwise, 3x4:5 for me.

1024x1280? Don't you mean either 5:4 or 4:3? 99% of CRTs are 4:3.
