The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Last.fm is undoubtedly the best music website and community on the Internetz nowadays. No contest.

Great concept, great service and intuitive design/website. Admittedly over the last year or two it's become more profit-driven and corporate-faced but I'm still in love with it in the same way that I was back in the early Beta stages of the Audioscrobbler program . Really can't fail Last.fm for what it provides to me-- although admittedly I don't use it that often for the radio or the web-based music player; more so for the community and Profile!
