I'm not quite sure where MOAB lives in the U.K. or who exactly he knows that plays baseball, but I myself have never seen a baseball game or spoken to any self-professed 'baseball players'. Basketball however is a pretty good sport. If you're 7 feet tall and can jump like a kangaroo. Otherwise it's just a frustrating experience .

Japan always wants to emulate Western culture and their US neighbors in many respects, I suspect that's why they adopt a failsport like baseball. I don't really think it's arguable that baseball is an American sport and has its' seat firmly placed in America... popularity in other countries is minute in comparison.
