Firefox just somehow took my CPU to 100% load, no idea why. I only noticed because iTunes started going choppy and the taskbar told me my CPU was brushing 60C. So I had opened up the resource monitor and it reckoned that FF was doing all this. I only had iTunes and Firefox. Firefox had 3 tabs open; BF2s, Facebook, and small forum I frequent. Ideas as to how this could have happened? I'm about to file a bug report if I can remember my log in details, but just wanted to see if anyone has had a similar experience.

EDIT: FF was also using about 250Mb of RAM, versus about 50Mb normally.

Which version are you on? Mine is notorious for using a lot of memory (latest public full release, not the 0.12.a beta or something)

3.0.1. I thought they'd fixed the memory leak that 2 had. In any case though, this isn't the same problem as it's CPU based.

Yeah mine does that too sometimes, except only when I first boot up my computer. I boot it up, enter my password, then click the firefox icon. The process launches but it takes about 2 minutes before the window shows up, then for the first 5 min or so everything is really really slow. I have no idea why, they need to figure out the problem and fix it soon.
