It wasn't a sexist comment, it was more focused on her religious beliefs as she once said that the war in Iraq was god's will, ANYONE who uses religious beliefs to justify war this day and age should not be in a position to control nuclear devises. Maybe WWIII will be god's will, maybe the millions killed will be god's will... who knows.jord wrote:

No, but Demons are quite religious. As they are part of some religions, and most certainly belief in and hate God.Spark wrote:

Not what she said. Though that doesn't stop ignorant people from repeating the out of context phrase like it's a fact.dANNN wrote:

"Task from god" and God's will seem the same to me.
but maybe im too ignorant to know the difference eh?
Some people take the "God's will" thing so far it becomes meaningless.
So, it's God's Will, is it? Then it's also God's will that I punch you in the face, is my response.

JFK? did you forget about him maybe? he used religion and god a ton.MGS3_GrayFox wrote:

When you say "some people" I suppose it would make sense not to include a potential president of the United states of America. So its ok for Palin to say she actually knows what God's Will is?, there is no denying that she thinks God actually spoke to her and told her that the war in Iraq was his will. I suppose this is fine if it's out of context right?
you are too ignorant to think this is something new yes. FDR, JFK, etc etcdANNN wrote:

Especially when it's on video
"Pray for our military men and women who are striving to do what is right. Also, for this country, that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending [U.S. soldiers] out on a task that is from God," she said. "That's what we have to make sure that we're praying for, that there is a plan and that that plan is God's plan."
It's not the same thing. She is saying "pray that our leaders are sending soldiers out on a task from god"
In other words, 'pray we're doing the right thing'..not 'god told me Iraq was his will'
I think the fact she is even suggesting that God's Will is anything that encourages war is enough for anybody to judge her character... Although i know it has been done in the past.

It works for the muslims, and most liberals don't feel that is radical.dANNN wrote:

Religious people pray. It's kinda weird to me, but that is something they do, seeking guidance and comfort.
War is a heavy decision, I don't find it out of order to pray about it. Her son is heading over there, makes it even more understandable.
Obama is a christian isn't he ? Nobody seems too bothered about whether his faith will play a role in his decision making -- but they have this soundbite from Palin, which gets warped into making her sound like she thinks she speaks for god, it's annoying.
Not so much radical as unimportant on the grand scheme of things.Lotta_Drool wrote:

What is the opportunity cost to war? Not going to war? surely if given the choice, god would have proffered the latter. And Obama doesnt seem to want to ban abortion, although Palin does. Obama did not try to ban/censor books, i wonder if she believes in dinosaurs...
No denying that she is significantly more radical than obama, and this will get in the way of her ability to lead the country, theres no denying that. So what she gains in saying she works with god's will she loses in her ability to lead.

so we want religious free leaders in the world? i would vote for that. but, show me ONE that is not. ofc the US gets all the attention, but i do not think this is exclusive at all.dANNN wrote:

Odd how the Europeons liked bill clinton even though he prayed with jessy jackson after cheating on hillary before jessy jackson was caught cheating on his wife.usmarine wrote:

Bill carried a bible and thumped it.
Well here in the UK, I dont even know the faith of my prime minister it never crops up on the bbc or anything, neither for tony blair (ex-prime minister). However im sure their beliefs are a lot less radical to actually ban something like abortion or censor books, this is why im not in favour of Palin, her religous beliefs taint her ability to lead. Admittedly the US is far more of a religious country than the UK, and im sure religion matters far more there than here none the less religious beliefs should not be mixed with politics especially as open and as radical as Palin makes it.usmarine wrote:

yes but it does not get the media attention world wide anywhere else. so you do not know what they are truly thinking. i would rather they say it publicly because god knows what they are saying in private.
I woudnt, id rather judge them by their policy's than by their beliefs.

Matt Daemon is an idiot. If you take political advice from a dimwit celebrity then you'll probably believe anything (I got a bridge for ya).
1 of 1 Major of a small town of ~8,500 in 2006 >>> Community Organizer of what?
1 of 1 Governor of Alaska - the 2005 gross state product was $39.9 billion >>> 1 of 100 Senators (most of the time running for president btw) as a member of the Foreign Relation's commitee
Let me remind you that Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter where governors of a 'small states' too...didn't stop them from being president.
What major bills have Senator Obama done in the Senate? Biden has a long history of accomplishments...why isn't the ticket reversed?
The more the Democrats attack Sarah Palin and the media throws fuel on the fire the more people will gravitate to her and boost the Republican ticket.
Sarah Palin in on the path of being the Ronald Reagan in lipstick.
