dunno whats going on with my pc.
yesterday the fan of my motherboard did some strange noise what it sometimes does while the pc is booting. so i went under my table to open my case and while this i pressed the start button to turn my pc off. it went off and i fixed the fan and wanted to restart. it restarted but after the screen where my hardwarespecs are shown, a screen appeared with the message that windows cant be booted. so i had to choose between safe mode, last known setting or to run windows normal. i chose normal and windows started with loadingscreen (the one with the loading bar). at this point a bluescreen with a white text appeared (to fast gone to read it) and the pc restarted.
i got windows xp and thx for help in advance

Those NB fans are noisy, mine broke once so I recommend changing the cooler and getting something passive. Thermalright offers cool solutions. Your Windows got corrupted. Try "last known configuration" or insert Win Xp cd, go to setup and press R to repair the installation.

Restart in safe mode and run a scan disc. It should pick up any errors on your hard disc and try to correct them.

There's a setting in the BIOS somewhere to not automatically restart when a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) appears, so you should be able to get a clearer look at it. I dunno where the option is in the BIOS, maybe someone else will.

Might help you out a bit.

it's in windows

CP --> System --> advanced --> Startup and Recovery --> uncheck "automatically restart"

backup all your data and reformat. Way faster and easier than trying to manually fix the problem

For backing up your data from an unbootable PC you really have 2 options:

- put the HDD into another PC and copy over the data
- download a live linux CD and copy over the data to another (external) HD or USB stick
