Need advice on video card.

As far as I can see, the 9800 seems to have better specs (judging only by numbers and not knowing what they mean). However, the 260 is far more expensive, so I'm wondering which I should get (I can afford either).

Any help, and what do the numbers mean?

The GTX260 is faster than a 9800GTX+. If you aren't interested in CUDA, the best card for money would be a AMD/ATI HD4870

Which is better - the 260 or the 4870? (as in, are you talking about performance for money, or just performance?)

4870 is faster than 260GTX.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity.
