I'm reading a book by Frederick Forsyth called The Afghan, bit hard to grasp what's going on but good all the same if you like war/thrillers.

A gripping tale of a young hard-working teenager who considers getting a cell phone to keep in touch with his girlfriend. Like a gift from the gods, a cheap cell phone is on sale, and the boy snatches up the offer. Then this story starts to get hot, Devilishly hot.

Ive always been one of the readers who hated stupid fiction books. Probably from all the shit books we read in school. All the books i read are nonfiction, weather it be about politics or military stories or about business or informational books. I read a little stephen king but im getting tired of that too.  Lately i've been thinking its about time to get a good fiction book or a book I can read just for fun. I don't want it to be extremely long though. Any suggestions of good books youve read lately?
D'u like history?

If so, try the Baroque Cycle by Neal Stephenson:

Volume 1: Quicksilver.
Volume 2: The Confusion.
Volume 3: The System Of The World.

He blends fiction with historical fact... I'm 'bout half way through volume 1 at the mo, and it's AWESOME!

Ray Bradbury, Issac Asimov are both always good, I especially liked the Foundation series. Stephen Hawking books are good non-fiction books. If you can get over the language The Iliad is nice and epic, lots more blood than Odyssey as well. Ender's Game series. The Prince.

Colbert's book > all though tbh.

Catch-22 by Joseph Heller is one of my personal favourites. Brave New World by Aldous Huxley is also excellent, I actually prefer it to Orwell's 1984, though the latter is awesome too.

Two other books I would recommend are Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosser, which documents how fast food developed and how it has shaped our culture. People I recommend the book to mistake it for another version of Supersize Me, though I feel it's much much better than eating Mickey D's for 30 days. The other book is Life of Pi by Yann Martel.
