Cant connect to Internet

Hi i have a cable running through my house and to my brothers room, where there is a switchport.
1 wire goes to his PC and 1 wire goes to my PC, all lights are burning but I dont get internet...

Wireless internet is working but not the cable.
Any1 got a solution?

try ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew

Drivers are installed.
Ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew doesnt work.

It did work this morning..

Also it says the speed is only 10mbps on both my computer and my brothers computer

Busted Switch?

Does the internal network work?

Go on your brothers computer, ipconfig, it'll give you an IP like 192.168.1.XXX,

GO on your computer, PING 192.168.1.XXX
