unfortunately i can't hold on as it is a replacement rig for one that was blown thanks to a power surge. also where can i get this XP zune theme that you speak of it sounds dangerous & expensive oh wait i already have it. doh.

Exactly. And you can spend four years watching unspectacular upgrades hit the shelves that promise big shit but only deliver a slight boost over the last generation's hardware.

Save yourself a headache and put together a new rig every 2-3 years, if it's within your budget.

But Kyle has a point. Thanksgiving weekend can get you great deals...but only if you can (this year) ignore the 'big next stuff' on the radar.

Speaking of which, throw some money at an uninterruptible power supply. I'm not sure insurance would appreciate a second 'failure' (in their eyes), and it'll throw cleaner power at your rig, lessening the strain on your PSU.
