So I'm guessing that it's a corrupt file or something because it is only pla tanks.
Is there a fix that doesn't involve me spending a few hours re-DL'ing the files, then re-installing them?

Try reinstalling pr. But it can be too due to old graphic drivers. Try to downloadind latest nvidia or ati drivers for your graphic card.
