I just sold an 8-bit NES system with 120 games that has collected dust for years. I got $220. The guy acted as if it was the deal of the century and I was dumb for selling it for so little.

What is a NES really worth now?

Lol, NESes aren't worth that much. They were so incredibly mass-produced that they can be gotten for $30 refurbished. Probably the games that gave the cash. $1.50 a piece, and a couple of rarities.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Gotta do what you gotta do. Having an emulator on the pc with 1000 nes games kind of kills the blowing in the cartridge nostalgia. I told the guy to name a price. He said 220 I shit.

I never would have thought I would get over 200 dollars for that stuff.

The original Nintendo with those many games is probably worth 500 or more.  Just like Final Fantasy VII for the Playstation 1 is worth 500 or so dollars.

Erm no, it isn't, I can pick that game up for a fiver down the road. And working NES's are all over eBay for about $50, plus you can buy some random ripoff console, brand new that plays NES and SNES games for about the same money.

just a loser NES fanboy who's going to keep hold off it till he 92 then sell it for $15,000.

And promptly die the next day.

The point is that it's a real NES.

I highly doubt it. I've got 2 mint copies kicking around and I can't imagine them going for more than a tenner.

Just looked on eBay, someone is selling all the parts seperately (one auction for manual, one for box). Haha.

These things?

Yeah, I agree I can't see the appeal of them either.

I still have mine, didn't realize they sold for so much.

I think you did fine in selling it.

If you ever get the itch to play just download an emulator and the roms.

Hell I have 2000+ NES roms on my phone and it barely uses any of the space.

Has to be new, unopened and not the greatest hits version.  The original version brings the most dough.
