So, I accidentally removed all of my items from the dock, and am now unable to access the options or any way to replace what I had. The program is running, but I can't highlight anything because at this point, there is nothing in the dock. Even uninstalling isn't allowed, because it always seems to be running despite my End Task-ing it with the Task Manager. I do have the configuration settings saved in a .ini file, but can't really make sense of what to do with them in order to correct my current dilemma.
safe mode, uninstall, reinstall, reconfig
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
No dice. From what I've been reading, the issue is unresolved for many other folks who have done the same thing. If ever they release a fix, that is probably the only chance. I guess I'm going to have to live without it for a long while.
Try Objectdock instead?

So it doesn't uninstall or close down at all?
SitRep: I managed to uninstall it by closing the process and was able to remove the folders and delete them from my computer, however, whenever I re-install, I am in the same predicament. The settings are somehow remembered, so not even the default icons or theme comes up. In order to close it down at all, I have to end the process, and I can't do anything with it when it is supposedly "running". It's basically just there.
Also, for some reason, my monitor doesn't really come out of power save until I'm at the Windows screen, so I've not been able to see what I'm doing with the Advanced Boot Options. It's a tricky situation, and I am really ruing that accidental mouse movement that took my items off the dock.

Try also delete the registration entries for rocket dock next time you 'uninstall' it. Also, look for an more .ini files.
And what's with the monitor? It takes a lot of time, or it doesn't register signal input until the windows screen?

Yeah I agree with this guy, that way you remove all trace that it has ever been on your computer. That should work hopefully.Morpheus wrote:
