Guys, I got news for ya'...these things (are) used to be real live honest to God birds. Massive creatures they (were) are. Just educate yourself in Native American folklore. They are mentioned several times, revered as gods they were. The bringer of storms and such. To see one in modern times doesn't amaze me. Look at the Coelacanth...65 million-ish old species...

I agree fully. In the remote ares these animals would live in it is no surprise that people may have never found remains. The desert is not kind to bodies.
