Unless its a breaker with a reset switch once its tripped power will no longer flow through the unit.
Do you lose power or just sound? If it turns on its not your fuse.
if the power stays on its not likely the fuse, the fuse does not control the power sent to the speakers, and the common issue with fuses found on this unit is the fuse blowing, which shuts off power to the whole unit... google it.
Sounds more like a crappy connection, perhaps not with the wires you hooked up it could be inside the unit itself.
