What is it about friends that make BF2 so much damn fun?

So, it's been awhile but my friends finally got BF2 in their dorm rooms and we were playing last night, and fuck, it's so much more fun playing with friends. And it's weird because they both suck (http://bf2s.com/player/47204698/) (http://bf2s.com/player/160099780/) yet i had more fun with them than i ever had pwning n00bs by myself.

There was this one great moment when we were trying to take the Palace, 3rd Floor and we were in the little room at the end of the hallway and i was down to 1 bar of health and my friend spawned as a medic and so i was screaming "HEAL ME" over Skype and he was really disoriented so he was spinning around and he managed to walk directly over the grenade that was just thrown in the room and we both died XD

it was by far the most fun i've had ever, even if we died, lolz

One of my friends, he has 4 shock paddle kills, one being a 3 star who he failed to realize was both alive and on the other team.

Sometimes, when I get bored I join a nubs squad, follow him around with a med pack, revive when he dies, and let him kill whoever he can. It's quite amazing how far you can push yourself into a group of enemies without being shot at. They usually end up on an equal KD, and whenever they kill I shout "YOU'RE A FUCKING MAD CUNT".

The next best part is following a noob around on the other team, and seeing how long it takes him to spot you're not on their team. Best part is when they have a 300 + ping and actually can't shoot you, so they end up just ignoring you and getting on with capping a flag. With you bunny hopping. around them.

dude, i was doing it to this private with a 200+ ping yesterday just bunnyhopping with a medic pack while he kept trying to kill me at point blank range. he wasted 90% of his ammo before this other guy killed me. funny shit tbh.

Amusing, finally a thread in this section without anyone telling someone to 1v1 them, screaming "u fail at life", telling how good they are at BF2, saying they don't do pubs anymore because pubs are full of noobs they cannot play with, or asking for link to stats they will then examine and find something that they are better in. Oh and telling one's video is "nothing special" or "just lucky with hitreg" or "noob opponents" is also very popular here.

Win. How fine thins section could be with a bit less elitism?

As for the actual contributing to thread, I only fully enjoy the game when I pub with my e-friends (apart from occassional flying). It's just what this game was made for.

Because you're not playing with strangers, you're playing with people you know = fun. You're all in the same area, so you all can laugh at the game when something amusing happens. It provides a richer experience besides constant meat grinding of strangers online, but don't get wrong, that has its own fun.

Tell me, when watching a movie at home, you've got soda, popcorn and various confections set out on the table/couch. You sit down and watch a funny movie. It's infinitely better with company IMO.

I can't play on my own anymore. I need to play with a RL friend or an e-friend in BF2 now otherwise I get bored and stop playing after about 5 minutes.

I hope the patch makes me want to play this a bit more. I think it's the not-so-smooth game play that turns me away from the game.

same. when it first came out i could play +5 hours a day on my own. now it just isn't fun unless i have someone to work with...

So true. I actually don't even use BF2 shortcut anymore - I only join the game via xfire if some of my mates are playing.

I feel you man, ive managed to hook 2 of my friends up with BF2, and its soooo much more loltastic than playing with internet buddies or even having a 60:1 KDR. The luls we had everytime we crashed in the open sea, teamkilled(accidentally ), got bombed, got killed. Ive even played as a noob to make them feel more comfortable. Best part was, every day they came up to me and said DUDE OMFG LAST NIGHT I GOT PROMOTED TO FUCKING CORPORAL AINT THAT COOL LOLOLO ARE WE PLAYING TONIGHT AGAIN???
