It's awfully irrelevant what the plebeians in Europe think of our Presidents or Presidential candidates...after all they certainly aren't voting for them and have as much say in foreign policy as the American plebeians do.
That is the kinda chain of thoughts that are alienating your nation from the rest of the world, you seriously have to change the "fuck the rest of the world" attitude and start trying to gain back some of that goodwill you actually once had ...
Not fuck the rest of the world...we'll deal with our shit and you deal with your shit. If you expect us to base our politics partially on everyone else's politics, well that's messed up.

Now we can't even deal with our own shit without fucking around with another country...it's a time-space paradox!

Some examples of how the Eurotrash views it

Bush Jr. - Daddy bought him the presidency ... twice
Clinton - The man that brought the US back on track and introduced a new use of cigars
Bush Sr. - Shows that a corrupt company of powerful men can indeed peacefully take over the most powerful nation in the world
Reagan - An actor, and not a very good one either ... he turned out to be an okay president but the world laughed good
Nixon - Tricky Dick, did he do anything good at all ?
Lyndon B. Johnson - Responsible for killing thousands of Americas finest for nothing, for absolutely nothing ...
Harry S. Truman - He saved Europe and rebuild it, the right man in the right job at the right time ... brought the US to it's peek of popularity
Roosevelt - Maybe the best liked US president ever globally, he won WW2 ... technically Truman did but Roosevelt is the Hero

And what we think of the next election results
McCain/Palin - More of the global instability, fiscal incompetence we have now and a Christian fundamentalism as bad as it's ME counterparts
Obama/Biden - Change - couldn't be any worse could it?
Pretty much nails it

Why limit it to Europe?
The US has essentially withdrawn from the UN.

We've actually got very good relations with the French right now.

Got anything to back up your claim?

What am I thinking? Of course not...nvm.

So again...name a european country we're not cooperating with.

lol you act like interaction with other countries is vital.

The U.S. of A. is a sovereign nation. That means we get to do whatever we want with our country, and frankly it's none of your business. Of course there will also be ripple effects, and frankly those shouldn't concern us either. There is a reason that Europeans can't vote in our nation - it's our nation. We want our vote to stand beside those votes who also directly stand to lose or gain based on the success of the nation, and so until we get to vote on European presidents you can leave our election alone.

I think there is no nation on earth that can give a fuck about other nation's opinions. The reason is ressources and trade. There is no nation on earth that has all required resources on its own soil, that's why it has to trade with other nations. To guarantee successful trades, you have to have decent relationships with the other nation. Sure you can try and get the needed resources by military means, but no nation on earth has enough soldiers to conquer the whole world.

And I also don't think that having to neglect your country of origin when going abroad is something to be proud of...

                   - Devised and executed a strategy that ended the Cold War and led to the overthrow of Communism in USSR
                   - Economic policies led to the longest period of growth in US history

    ==========A couple Varegg forgot===============================
    * Carter - Oversaw the worst economy since the Great Depression...to include today's
                 - That pesky Iranian hostage thing
    * Ford - Placeholder
              - Restored some semblance of confidence in Washington

    ========================================================
    * Nixon - Tricky Dick, did he do anything good at all ?
                - Detente...look it up
                - Ended Vietnam War

    * Lyndon B. Johnson - Responsible for killing thousands of Americas finest for nothing, for absolutely nothing ...

                   - McCain isn't a Christian fundamentalist
                   - Has an understanding of the scope of power of the President and the Executive Branch

Obama/Biden - Peace
                    - How exactly is that?
                    - Thinks the President can just say it and it is so...at least to hear him promise the world.
Those are just off the top of my head. See what I mean about it not being the "whole truth"? Even the best ones had flaws...even the bad ones had shining moments.
First off: Seeing as though your arguments did not refute any of what Varegg said, I think you'll agree that "numbingly stupid" was a numbingly stupid knee-jerk reaction by a moron who felt offended by the post but had nothing to say about it.

Now as for your comments. Agree on Clinton - don't know why the Dems think he's a god or sth...

and I just can't keep from saying that there are a lot of things that contributed to the fall of Communism in Russia, the least of which was Reagan's plan.

well, fine - how about you pay your debts to the rest of the world and then go fuck yourself up as much as you want, huh? you cannot be a part of something - and you ARE a major part of this world, aren't you? - and do whatever you want to yourself without thinking about the rest of the system. you are about to elect a zombie for a president and a histerical cunt for VP in there - well, don't be surprised that others are conserned.
