This race, I hope it's epically awesome. Nice pix too.

Looking forward to it simply because night races look so awesome on t.v. The first race of the MotoGP season was at night, and it really added some atmosphere. Moar night racing plx!

As far as I know, and I follow F1 pretty close...SPEED will carry it live. With the exception of a 2-3 race series broadcast by ABC, or CBS ( I don't remember which tbh, one of the races was Monaco) Speed carries the entire season live.Jenspm wrote:
Anyone know if this will be broadcasted on an American TV station?
I'll be in Houston at the time
I hate to see Malaysia, China, and Albert Park (Australia) come up on the calendar, for Speed broadcasts live, and in Eastern (US) timezone that means I have to stay up wicked late, or sleep then get up, for the races don't even start until 11pm or something. Singapore (thank the gods) being at night, Speed will broadcast live, but it will be early in the am, as are the European races.
Check your local listings for times and station.
I wouldn't miss this race for anything tbh. Its going to be incredible imho...NASCAR night racing is far better to watch than the day racing. Thus most of that series schedule is moving to night, where possible. Depending on lights etc etc. F1 cars are incredibly beautiful in the full of day, but at night, they should be staggering.
I cannot wait. My wife even is anxious for this one, and she has only taken an interest in F1 (again) this year. She is a big Lewis Hamilton fan. I on the other hand, am a Ferrari fan...no matter the driver...unless it becomes Alonso, then, I'll pull for anyone BUT him.
Exactly, all drunk and watching some of the most bad ass cars on the planet.Ayumiz wrote:

Its like a huge party with race cars. You fail.
Jenspm, if nothing else look up TVU player... That will get you star sports, and I believe they usually show the races. Not the most amazing quality but you will be able to watch it live. Otherwise torrent.

(I'm aware you probably live just about as far away as you can get from the GP and it's going to be in all the interesting areas of Singapore not the boring residential areas, but maybe.....maybe you're one of those rich guys who lives in the good areas)

They should randomly turn the lights out on 1/4 of the circuit just for a laugh Otherwise it's just gonna be a race at night, with pretty much daytime light levels (circa 1600 lights being used to illuminate the circuit)
O Go Lewis 1st in Practice
As long as he can keep it up for the raceKptk92 wrote:

It's not a night race because they thought "ooh let's give the drivers a challenge and do it at night"
It's a night race because of the whole live TV coverage thing. Mainly to give the primary European audience a better time slot to watch it live.
So that's why it's really bright, infact it looks like it's so well lit and that there's so many lights that shadows can't even show up around cars etc.. (well from some pics I saw)
So you could say the track is even brighter than it would be during daytime.
