Since Motorola Phone tools is being homosexual about working with my V3xx, I now have to find new ringtone making software.  So does anyone know of any?

Trying to make the part that starts at 1:24 into a ringtone:

Well try setting a song as a ringtone and see. Most should be able to use whatever the "media player" can play. Mine however has to be an MP3 smaller than 600KB

I did everything and got it on my phone and it plays just like I want to it on the phone in the media section but in the properties in the phone it says that it is not allowed to be applied which means I can't use it as a ringtone.  How do I enable it to be allowed to "apply"?

Nevermind, found out after a google search and some looking here that the AT&T branded V3xx can only use ringtones that are under 300KB in size, the .WAV file I had initially made was 3.15MB so I decided I may as well try to encode it in .MP3 so I downloaded the MP3 "LAME" encoder file here and tried it out and I don't know how, but the same file was now 293KB and better yet, it works now!

The really stupid thing is that according to those forums, while the AT&T branded V3xx can only use ring files that are under 300KB, the Cingular branded one could supposedly do files that are under 600KB.

You can re-flash your phone to debrand it, but I think you need to make a backup of everything you have saved on there first.
