I'm going to uni tomorrow and I just found out they don't have wireless internet in the halls of residence. They do have internet connected with a cable though!
I tried connecting the internet plug that's used on my desktop to my laptop and no connection was picked up..here are some screens:
The red cross by the connection thing didn't go away.
When I clicked the icon this came up...do I have to install any of those boxes that are ticked?
I don't know if this helps but it's called Bluetooth personal area network from Tobisha under the details..
Is there a way I can pick up a signal or does my cable internet just not work?
Any help would be greatly appreciated since I'm leaving tomorrow morning early and won't have access to internet for a while!
