To be honest, I didn't know him by his acting career either. Our family always bought/buys Newman's Own, but I only recently learned that all of the profits from them are donated to charity. Which is awesome. RIP.

Never connected him with the Newman's Own products. Wonder if there will be a special edition bottle commemorating his passing. I read about him wanting to stay in the comfort of his home in his final days. RIP

RIP Paul Newman, a great actor and a nice guy. He once called in to the local shop in my hometown and apparently he was the most down to earth, polite person you could meet. He also set up an outdoor adventure centre for sick and terminally-ill children here in Ireland and frequently visited it to see how it was doing (all proceeds from his brand of sauce supposedly went to his charities).
