Sound not working on flash videos

I have no sound on any flash videos on my laptop.

Any ideas? I'm using the latest version of flash (9.0.124.0), and I'm on Vista 32.

Sound works fine with everything else, and the videos play ok, just without sound.

Didn't work, and now I just changed a bunch of stuff in my registry...

System restore should fix that. Have you tried uninstalling? The install might have corrupted itself.

Tried and failed, I also tried all of the steps here:

But still nothing.

I've only just got this laptop so I'd format again if I was sure it would fix the problem, but I don't know if it's a problem with the sound card.

You can find out that very quickly. Other videos or music have audio?
