I haven't seen these much before, but there are two of them on my SF server list, and I've NEVER seen them on SF before. Is there a point 2 timed servers?

There are a few AF/EF time servers as well. It's for people who care about pixel statistics over the internet.

If you want to rack up 400 hours in a tank or 150 hours in a plane/chopper and cant be arsed to learn to fly ... it's basicly servers for loosers ...

I used a midnight sun time server for sniper practice

No, it's no idle server.

Look @ the time limit some maps take forever so the timelimit is 240 mins (example)

There are but they tend to be afk too. I tried to hop on and just rape them all but server is full 90% of the time.

YA rely, i asked a qustion aboot the server and i got banned. But, i DO need like, 24 hours in a jet so i can get my 1 star, so i might have to find one of these timed servers, vanilla style.

Hmm...
I do still miss the silver and gold explosive badges. Could be easier on such a server than mining the gates on Great Wall.
I'd need a support guy with me and reload 6 times.

Why do people care about the medals? If the only way to get them was legit them maybe I would sort of care, but with all these dodgy servers about then the whole medal and badge thing is pointless I would rather spend my time playing the game doing what I want to do and have fun rather than spending ages trying to get these medals that no one even cares about

Just went on a time server for 15 minutes, got 100+ points, 50 kills and some damn funny screens...was having some good banter with one of the commanders while getting bitched at by 5 or so other guys, the rest were afk...finally an admin showed up and banned me. Good laugh though

Really don't get why people cheat to get the medals, the whole point is they are an achievement for what you do in the game, and it's not like you get a prize...

I asked some people in game how to get some of the achievements on Team Fortress 2. They all told me to go to the achievement servers, lol. I think maybe these time servers took that idea?

To be honest on TF2 I farmed all of mine only because you can, but I do think it's rediculous that the servers are allowed, I only did it because I want the guns and only casually play the game, otherwise it would be near impossible for me to get some of them. What they should have done is just made the new weapons available without needing to unlock them, because they all have pros and cons so none of the new ones are better outright- plus if they made them available straight away people could just carry on playing the game normally without the achievement servers, get bored of the new weapons, and just go back to whatever they thinks best for them. Or they could just ban achievement servers but I suppose everyone would start doing it in normal servers begging everyone else to do them, I remember it was like that when I had Halo 3 the day it came out I think achievements are pointless there are always cheap ways around it so why not just get rid of them? I think TF2 was much better before they brought them out anyway everyone could just focus on the class they like and get on with the game

If you only casually play the game does it really matter if you have all the unlocks.

Wouldn't it have been more fun to earn them over say a few weeks without having to go on the lame achievement maps?

OMG, nowai. I haz to haz all teh new toyz now before I haz a tempah tantrum. Maybe a new petition could get circulated where you could just start every game with all the unlocks, oh wait then they wouldn't be unlocks? Maybe they could change the "unlocks" to: "OMGherehazalltheweaponsb4uhazmajorconiptionfityouinpatientperson." DICE should make a version of BF2 that has all the guns and all the time requirements met so that the "casual gamers" can keep hearing the sound of the drum for the continual achievements.

lol, it's nothing serious like that I just can't play TF2 for ages at a time and farmed them (only pyro 1s I didn't want the rest) because I only play it for a little while for a laugh and wanted to try the guns, what I was saying is that what's the point in getting the achievements properly if these servers are about, and no one can tell who got them legit or not? Because of the servers, no one will look at someone and think that must have taken ages or been hard to get that, and even if you did get them properly, people will probably think you farmed it anyway so why not it just saves you time. When I said about having them all unlocked when the weapons are released, obviously they wouldn't be unlocks then, just new weapons that are added which wouldn't be a bad thing because like I said none of them are more powerful they just have different good and bad things about them, and it would get rid of all the achievement servers and everyone would be playing on normal maps- BF2 is different because you can't just join a server and kill thousands of people in 1 go and get your new weapons, it takes a long time so there's no problem there, maybe you can do it for the ribbons on BF2 but that's why I don't care about them it still takes ages to rank up and get unlocks nomatter what you do

but they ddin't like me capping flags oh well

there just aren't any maps that have rebels on 'em, even the vehicle maps usually don't have people on them, or their full and thus no way i'll get 100 points

Genius...the server I went on last night was on Surge, I got 100+ points in around 10 mins just by driving round the uncap in a tank killing the AFKers each time they spawned ... was called AOW I think

Wierd thing is, the guys who weren't afk were happy to see the admin show up and get rid of me...so after the drama of me causing trouble, they could all go back to the excitement of...sitting there doing nothing. Ace

Edit...I just realised how hypocritical that was of me. Don't use these servers to boost your stats, I just went in there for a laugh!
