So, i have this - http://www.thermaltake.com/product/Chas … 000bws.asp case (with different side panel but it doesnt matter) and this - http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/Mot … uctID=2694 motherboard. The problem is about 'hdd activity' and 'power on' LEDs on PC case -> the cables for HDD and P. On LEDs are 3 pin, and my motherboard for those kind of cable accepts only 2 pins. Is there any way to connect those LEDs? Why cables from new case doesnt fit to new mobo? Help
Just move one of the cables on the connectors to the middle hole. You simply jam your finger nail (or a needle, that tends to work better) under the little flap on the connector. When the flap is lifted up, you can pull out the cable under it. Then just press it down in the center hole. Make sure it's turned the same way.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
3 pin? I thought they only come positive and negative, i guess if you just line those 2 up the other 1 wont matter it could just hang off the end...if it fits that is
can you explain this pl0x...Freezer7Pro wrote:

The third pin is NC.Afroman.exe wrote:

Strange that the HDD_ACT is 3-pin, but the mobo doesn't have a seperate pin-out for PWR_LED (can't tell by the pic)?
Freezer means to take the metal connector that holds the wire and move it into the second hole.
My state was founded by Batman. Your opinion is invalid.
well i have above this 'hdledrestartpoweronetc' section 3 pin place called 'power on led' or something like that, but it doesnt work when i try to connect it
Had your exact problem. Only with my Armor and FTW. Just line the pins up in the connector so the extra empty pin slot is hanging off the connector. I could take a pic, but my connectors are currently blocked by my second GTS. I think it took me an try to get the lights working correctly. I believe it was because TT designed their cases before 2 pin power connectors were standard. If you need any extra help, PM me and I'll take my second card out and take a pic. Time for a dust check anyways.
Or you could not be cheap and just go find a 2 pin connector and use that instead.
I have a huge box of these LED's and power buttons from old cases. If you have an old case just go jack the LED's and/or the connector.

I think the HDD LED doesn't actually work unless you're using an IDE hard drive, not SATA.

I have three SATA drives and my HDD activity LED flashes all the time.
