meh we have yellow plates too BUT why on earth would you use white in the front and yellow on the back (French/Brits)

white/black like zhe Germans (and like all of the rest) is where it's at.

How about, y'know same colour for both?

Also I just looked at prices. $200 for custom plate (not so bad tbf), $400 for custom coloured (like black-on-pink, nom nom nom), $400 for Euro standard rego, $700 for Euro custom

Meh, custom plates are lame.

90% of the time everyone who is not you will just think your custom plate is gay. You will be the only person who likes it... and your IN THE CAR so you can't even see it.

Everyone who sees it thinks its lame, everyone who likes it cant see it... whats the point?
