BEIJING (AP) - A news story describing a successful launch of China's long-awaited space mission and including detailed dialogue between astronauts launched on the Internet Thursday, hours before the rocket had even left the ground.
And people say Fox News is bad...

I bet our government drafts press releases too.  At least we don't have an "official" news agency though.

A guy could post a report from the launching pad from his Blackberry.

The only reason to precreate news is if you are selling a lie.

You're right, only the Chinese government would do such a thing.  How incredibly naive of me.

We do precreate some stuff. Obituaries for one. There was some incident a month ago where Steve Jobs' obituary was accidentally published online. They make them before death for celebrities and large public figures.

But precreating a conversation between ground control and the crew? Seriously?

They are trying desperately to maintain control of an exploding urban population.

Here was the real conversation (or was it )
Colonel Zhai Zhigang, radioed these calming words to President Hu Jintao and the Chinese people once he had finished his mission: "The space-walk mission has been accomplished smoothly. Please set your mind at ease, chairman Hu and the people of China. In the vastness of space, I felt proud of our motherland."

Whoa, can that statement get any more communist lol?

I hear they're going to build their own orbital weapons platform space station as well.

Didn't a newspaper accidentally publish a story about Kerry narrowly losing the '04 election about 6 weeks before the election happened?

Its almost like going before the UN and putting forward 'evidence' you know to be total bullshit.
And claiming you're going to find WMD when you know there are none.

'Precreating' a conversation about complete trivia? Meh.

They didn't even need to do that. The whole thing seemed to have gone as planned. All it does is take away from the success. Now it makes people think if it even happened. It probably did, but y'know...

My mate used to work for TV3 news in Ireland and they prerecorded the news of the last Pope dying so they could go home early and aired the footage accidentally before he actually croaked it... they got in a bit of trouble for that!

Wow. I'm shocked. You managed to get in an Iraq war dig in a thread that has nothing to do with it. And a clumsy dig at that.

I'm not even going to address the inanity (again) of your ridiculous posts. You're as bad as your brother rammunition.

When I visited Beijing to find the national museum on Tiananmen Square had been temporarily closed 'in preparation for the Olympics' (i.e., embarrassment-avoidance history revision) I kind of got the picture as to how they rolled... they just placed a massive Olympics countdown clock in front of what would normally be the front door...
