Good day,
A few months ago, I bought a used '84 Marshall JCM 800 amp head, and I love it. I was just playing on it and I thought I noticed some slight volume dips. I know it could be from me picking differently, but I didn't think I was doing anything that would produce such and effect on the volume. I heard somewhere that volume dips indicate that the output transformer is going bad, but I'm far from an expert on tube amps. So, my question is, is it the output tranny, or could it be something else?
