Can't get Sims 2 custom content to work.

I've downloaded some (read: 600+) items for Sims 2, but only about half or so of them are working.

They're all the same file type, all in the same folder and I can't figure out why they're not working.

Help?

Know that logo when you start the game? You know, that large, blueish one, the one with two letters on it and that voice saying "EA GAMES"? Yeah, well, that's your problem.

On a serious note, maybe you require some expansion to get the others to work?

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
