The only unforgivable sin, according to the Bible, is rejecting the Holy Ghost. Flat out saying, "I deny the Holy Ghost" is an unforgivable sin.

In that case, just to make sure, Fuck the Holy Ghost, I deny the Holy Ghost.CrazeD wrote:

Now I'm completely atheist.
Well that's just Dante's thoughts about the subject. I don't recall the Church sanctioning his work as a truism of Christianity that it's exactly as he put it, because Dante was just writing his thoughts on Catholicism and Florentine politics, among a few other things.Ty wrote:
I just think that it's stupid than the worst place to be sent, (the City of Dis,) is reserved for those who didn't believe in God. Rapists and murderers get a better deal than that! That's horse shit!
On the subject though, I thinnk the problem is that you have to repent in life or in Purgatory. I guess you can't say "forgive me for what I'm about to do" because if you really repented then you wouldn't have done it in the first place right? The whole Purgatory repenting is a bit tough too since you don't get to go there if you're a suicide case.
I think that all sins are meant to be forgivable, I think it's just significantly harder if you're a suicide case.
This is so true. I was fascinated when I read The Divine Comedy.Ty wrote:
Yes but importantly Dante's works are interesting so fuck it if they're true to Christianity or not.

Q. What do you get for suicide?Ty wrote:
I always find that fact kind of strange actually. So suicide is illegal, it's not like you can be charged or fined for it.
Now I'm laughing 'cause I'm getting a mental image of a cop handcuffing a corpse and reading it it's Miranda rights.
