EA/Dice should make it so you can't gain damage from armor and possibly artillery 3-5 seconds after you die... It's only fair..

i think its a good idea, since nowadays in karkand ppl camp behind the usual spawn and kill u just as u spawn
Spawn camping is part of the game to stop players from spawning and throwing nade to the flag which is being taken. Don't tell me you wouldn't throw nades to the flag being captured. If people kept spawning and assaulting the flag, it will not be captured unless there are 6 people capturing flag at the same time which almost never happen.
However, I do believe in some maps, for example Strike at Karkand, US armors should assault in to the enemy territories and kill enemy armors so that US forces could advance. Usually what I see is that people in armor whether it is APC or tank, they just sit in the entrance and fix each other up and not move with the force but stay put for easy kills for themselves but not contributing to the winning of the team by capturing flags or helping people capture the flags. They usually ignore the enemy armor signals and there are poor Anti-Tankers being slaughtered by MEC armors who also fix each other up which it is very hard to destroy without armor support.
Anyway, the answer for not getting spawn camping killed. Do not spawn in that location.

Stormeye has the right idea, either don't spawn, or spawn elsewhere, it's funny when people spawn at the same spot that they just got blasted by the tank....

Yep, people do armor whore at certain spots. Not I, I don't use armor hardly.

I'm an armor whore , I have 26.83 hrs in tank; <<the most in vehicles (22 in transport) and played 644hrs total. I can do better in SPM and K/D if I do use the tank/helo/plane, but that's not my style. 1st map is Karkand (who isn't), 2nd Warlord and 3rd Wake (9hrs in a plane).

For approx 6-8 seconds after spawning you cannot be killed UNLESS you press the action button (like shooting or hucking a nade) It's great because you can easily get away OR kill the person attempting to spawn rape.
I adjusted a long time ago though, and it doesn't bother me with it not being there. Either stay dead or choose a different spawn point. Simple.
I don't like the original idea much. First of a a two or three second "invincibilty" would be either completly useless or completly cheap. Say they got a tank camping and yous spawn as medic, you got 3 seconds to run and hide before he chases you down and kills, big deal. If its an infantry camping you got 3 free seconds to kill the guy and he doesn't stand a chance.
Cyberwolf's post about "spawn armor" however does sound intresting. That way you cant get free kills while you're invincible, but still be able to survive any camping.
My only problem with it is I consider camping a legitimate strategy. Realisticly, if you got a base being overrun, are you going to run in blindly (spawn there) or retreat and regroup (spawn somewhere else). If your dumb enough to keep spawning at a base that's being camped then I say you deserve to die. I'd say at most in a game I lose 3-4 lives to "spawn camping" with artillary or armor or something like that. It doesn't bother me at all, kill me once, I go somewhere else and proceed to kill you while your camping, not that hard.
