Chances of Airsoft becoming legal in Aus?

Recently I was combing through some old topics, and realized that no new info has been revealed about the battle for the legalization of airsoft in Australia. So does any one have any new information or any thing of the sort? Also, you can use this post to just show off your equiptment and make us Aussies jealous

I read just yesterday that there is a vote in the Qld parliament in December 08 about the legality of Airsoft in the specific state. Apparently if it gets through there then there'll be a nationwide push.

I want an airsoft P90 and Beretta so I can be my own Airsoft SG Team memeber.

I got two friends from Brisbane and my girlfriend's aunt and uncle live in Melbourne. I heard Sydney is the worst part of the country, though. Minus Canberra.

In Sydney, steer clear primarily of Redfern.
In Melbourne, stay in the Eastern Suburbs or in CBD and you'll be fine. Do not go to Footscray. Do not use alleys.

If you see large, ugly, rectangular buildings with tons of windows and clothes drying, that's government housing. Steer clear as well.
