I've two questions and I hope someone can help me with these.

First question, how does one tell how long a particular map will be played for.  As in, the time limit given to the players in which to decide the winner or loser.  Or is it simply based upon capture points and how long they last for one side.

Second question, what are tickets.  I've seen this mentioned quite often.  What does it mean and how does it affect the player.

I'd appreciate any info...Cheers.

**EDIT**
Typo in the thread heading...should read Server not "Sever."  Hehe.

U can win/loose the round if any of two things occur.

1. The time runs out - some admins use a clock, like 15minutes or whatever they choose and clock runs down to 0 - then the team with the most tickets win :-)

2. Just tickets - in most servers its around 300 tickets and when one team reaches 0 tickets they loose.

The tickets is what u see on each side of the minimap with your teamflag and a tiny coloured bar that tells in what speed u are loosing tickets.

Your team loose tickets if u are holding less flags than the other team - u also loose tickets every time u die !

Think thats about it.

Jeeez...you´re pretty new to the whole thing, huh ?

1. Time is just time, easy as that...It just goes by and has nothing to do with flag capturing or anything else.
BUT, one execption to the rule : If ALL flags of one team got capped and if they are all dead the round
ends  before the time limit runs out.

2. Tickets are shown as the numbers in red and blue at the left and right upper corners of your screen. They represent the number of "lifes", that are left for a team. Means, if you get killed, that takes away a "ticket". If all tickets are gone you´re team looses...

Simple as that.

Hehe...Yeah, very new to video gaming period, let alone Battlefield.  Now that I have some spare time and can't really do much other than regain my health, I figure I might as well pass the time having a little fun.

I really appreciate the info boyz...Thanks.
