When I'm playing on my ps3, I keep getting a black faded line running across the screen from time to time.
Any ideas on what it is and how to fix it?

nope ...think ill give a sony a call, quite a few people have had the issue when i googled it, so they might have heard about this before.
I think you're right though, probably more to do with the tv than ps3.
Yarr ground looping, i get that a lot on car audio problems i'm given to solve, nothing but bother in some cases but sometimes down to poor grounding of products in installations. Worth eliminatingjustice wrote:
Yup checked...sony said something about ground loop (i think they called it that) and to disconnect all other connections to my TV.....sky, dvd etc....ill try it later.
lies, disconnected everything else, and the line has disappeared....but thanks for trying to waste 5k of my moneySEREVENT wrote:
Nothing to do with the PS3...
Its the TV. My Uncle got this, and it meant the TV was broken, so he had to buy a £5000 50" Widescreen to fill the gap.
Note: the old TV was a plasma... cost him £8000 lol.
