When I'm playing on my ps3, I keep getting a black faded line running across the screen from time to time.

Hmmm well I highly doubt it's the PS3. More than likely something with the TV, got an old TV to test it on?
nope ...think ill give a sony a call, quite a few people have had the issue when i googled it, so they might have heard about this before.

Sony have been helpful in the past to my friend.
Nothing to do with the video output settings on your PS3? I mean, you've checked them etc..?
Yup checked...sony said something about ground loop (i think they called it that) and to disconnect all other connections to my TV.....sky, dvd etc....ill try it later.

Yarr ground looping, i get that a lot on car audio problems i'm given to solve, nothing but bother in some cases but sometimes down to poor grounding of products in installations. Worth eliminatingjustice wrote:

Its the TV. My Uncle got this,and it meant the TV was broken, so he had to buy a £5000 50" Widescreen to fill the gap.
Note: the old TV was a plasma... cost him £8000 lol.
