Just finished it. It's like...maybe 3-5 minutes long. Provides a good taste of how the SP will be though. Cover system is pretty sick and very well worked, as are the quicktime events.

Just finished the demo and while it's really, really short, I liked what I saw. Solid combat, good mechanics and it doesn't feel like it's meant for a console; they've adapted the game so it feels like it's a PC game. I thought it was going to be lacklustre or Everything or Nothing v2 but I think I might be picking this one up now having tried the demo.

I downloaded and installed it yesterday but it doesn't work. It says "Quantum of Solace has stopped running" when I start it up. I knew at first it wasn't going to work for me because the game is based on the CoD4 engine. For CoD4, if it didn't work, you had to rename something from .asi to .bak in the miles folder. I did that with this QoS and it still didn't work.

The graphics aren't the world's best, but the combat is interesting. However, the demo is just not worth downloading. 600 megs for a couple of minutes?

Well, this could be the cause of missing directx files. Ironically, I got a missing dx file error on a recent game I got for Vista (War Front: Turning Point). I downloaded the missing file and put it inside the game's folder. Worked like a charm.

I got a similar error after installing and trying to play. I downloaded said missing file and put it inside the Program Files folder for QoS. Worked fine.

First impressions: Well, I was greeted with terrible lag, even though the game set up optimal settings. Guess that's an affliction of a laptop gaming system. Looks interesting enough, will get back to you all.

Definitely getting this on the PC when it's price goes down, probably getting the Wii version to hold me over. Cover system's quite good, allows dashing to new spots. Graphics are great if you can run it. Sounds could have some work, but the overall Bond feel makes it a must for PC FPS adventure fans.

It could use some more spy gadgets, there may be more in the full version. The demo gives you a cell phone that can track enemy patrols and some mission objectives.

I still think the best Bond game ever was Everything or Nothing. Third person for Bond was an incredible idea. I don't know why they didn't do it again. Don't they realise they got raped for doing it in FPS in the first place? Goldeneye was just pathetic.
