got a spyware virus

windows xp 2009 spyware removal <---- name of the virus

ya, its a virus. I need to get rid of it, but dont know what removal program to use.

Go to the Symmantec site, somewhere on there you'll find a repository of viruses, and they have uninstall tools that uninstall that one specific virus, it's a .exe you download.

running a scan now, and dl'ing new avg, for some reason my old one wont update. karma for those who helped

Malwarebytes Antimalware is 100% free...the only thing u need to pay for is real time protection...which you dont need...

Dload malware...then update...then scan

After that u might want to try running either ComboFix or SDFix
