I have not seen anyone post a link to the stats of a smotc recently which makes me think that is indeed true that it changes every month, thus making it harder to pin down who exaclty has it since no one has it for long.

No, he patched to to 1.2 or 1.3 (whichever one, but after the ranks got changed and reqs were changed) and logged in, giving him the rank of colonel. And if your wondering who is was, it was this guy.

Since Sgt.KERORO[Keron] patched and activated his account in July (it was inactive from Feb till July, during which time he was always noted as SMOTC), I have not heard or seen of a new SMOTC.
I have looked and listened, and I once started a thread on this issue.
Some have suggested that EA is no longer bothering to name a SMOTC, and I think they might be right.

great ! now the score has been altered and still NO exp first aid shown in my stats ... i have a screenshot made 4x with printscreen on my pc its in my documents & settings battlefield 2 screens WTF ??? WHY ??? ...

I know for a fact your all wrong The rank is still here and you can have it longer than one month the guy who has had it now for the last couple of months I know this because i have been checking on it his nick name is AOAX his player id is 131096449 go look at this crap and then tell us what you really think
