Just broke my headset Need a new one. Price preferably less than $40 total.

Was looking at this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6826249024

Anyone know of any better headsets or better prices?

Steak, why don't you have a stats page on yer profile?

Anyways, I'm very much liking my Logitech PS2 Headset, it's a little small(think 12yr old size) but the quality is decent and it works with PC, MAC, PS2, PS3, etc etc. They run upto $30 shipped off eBay. ($20 is you're in teh states, canada shipping is a rip.)

I have owned a similar one, or maybe the same one, it was very bad and the sound quality was abysmal

I use this headset currently, and out of my past 3, its the only one that hasnt fallen apart within a year(now about 3 years old).  Sound is great, very comfy, and the microphone works very well, and easily folds out of sight when not in use.  I paid $40 for it but at $20 its a great buy, love this headset.

Eh, not about looks for me, as no one sees it but me, now if you wanna look "1337" might wanna look at other models

Durability and comfort were my main concerns when I bought it, sound is great, but its not the best.  Only headset I can stand to have on my head for more then an hour before it digs into my ears and makes them super sore and painful

I have one of them Creative Fatality Headsets, and it's quite good. Detachable mic, good earphones (Use them all the while for music) and good sounds quality (No complaints off of TS).

I also have these, i was sceptical at first but they've turned out to be a great pair of headphones with a top quality mic. I'd recommend to anyone who wants a headset.

Sennheiser HD series.

Just pick the most expensive one you can afford

Shit, buy ANYTHING from Sennheiser and you won't be complaining. Sennheiser doesn't know how to make bad headphones/headsets.

I personally vote for closed, as the open ear headphones always seem to dig into your ears/skull after a few hours, whereas the closed ear have the big pads on them .  However, one thing Ive noticed is after several hours with closed ear headphones on everything sounds funny for a bit, but no biggie

I have those, great headphones. The head band part has cracked from both sides though after a year, but some glue fixed that.

Dunno if those tritton ones has same problem, but I'd recommend adding some glue above the screw that is on the inside above the joint. Just in case.
