Deathadder side buttons

Hiya! I recently bought new mouse Razer Deathadder. I did set the side buttons for pistol and prone. But now I got problem. I can't use side buttons in Battlefield 2. When I'm not ingame they work well. I got 1.08 driver and 1.25 firmware. Also when i set side buttons for on-the-fly-sensitivy it will work but it wont show the bar ingame. So does anyone know how to fix this?

I got Vista Home Prem. 64-bit operating system.

I had a very similar problem when i ran a Logitech MX1000, it would work the side buttons sometimes but not all time. Do you have the very latest firmware here and drivers installed for the Deathadder? (i see you have 1.08) And its shows in the control config that you mapped mouse buttons 3 & 4?

I now use the Habu mouse, the Razer/Microsoft thingy and i've found it to work perfectly with Bf2 in game and i thought the Habu ran on a similar engine to the rest of the Razer range. So i wonder if it's an OS problem maybe?

Hey thanks for fast reply. I had also MX100 as old mouse and it worked always fine. I think this is newest firmware for Vista 64-bit. I actually mapped buttons 4-5 (3 is scroll click). The buttons work perfectly when not ingame.

I'd say that it is an OS problem.

I've had my Deathadder for ages now and i've never had any problems with it nor have i known any of my friends with Deathadders to have any problems with it. We're all running 32-bit XP.

I'm assuming that you set the side buttons using the in-game options/controls section. If so then it would seem strange that they would work in the menus but not while playing in a server.
