Yes. It's just either a bit loose in either end, or a conductor in it has broken.
It can just start working like that. When you move the screen, you create tension in the cabling, that can make the cables move a little bit, even hours or days after it's just been standing. Those minimal movements can be enough to knock a bad connection right or wrong.
It could also be the panel going out, but I doubt that. Symptoms like that don't point to such a thing. Try pressing a little (although pretty hard, enough to make it flex a little, about as much power as you can put out with one finger on the computer, a little less on the screen) on the plastic under the screen itself (both on the computer and the screen itself), does the image change or flicker a little?
