Is BF2 Dead / can you help?

First I have started a new server for me and the boys after being repeatedly banned from basically every fucking wake server ever for being a whore. Thus the new server, which is located in California. I have seen an assload of impressive pings here (8ms, 12ms, 17ms etc.).

I am having trouble populating said server, as there are basically a few hundred empty BF2 servers with regularity now. I think around 1600 total servers, and only 600 or so are regularly populated. So I have tried a few variations on server theme etc.

I have switched to Karkand. I will grant introductory admin to longstanding members of bf2s who are not prone to admin abuse. I am operating a one strike rule (abuse and you are toast). Add me to xfire at canadazenmaster.

The server rules and settings are as follows:
24/7 Karkand Infantry Only
Tbagging, bunny hopping, admin verbal abuse, etc is ALL ALLOWED
Disrespecting admins is ALLOWED.

Those rules above will be announced in game.

The server settings are as follows:

24/7 Kark, 15 rounds then reload

Inf only: on

Max plyrs: 40

Players to start: 8 (unchangeable, but i've changed the unranked delay to 99999 so that if you get 8 and one quits the server won't unrank for several hours, or the round finishes)

Time limit: none

Reserve slots: none

Friendly fire: 60% (no nading or c4ing your own feet)

Neg score: kick on -15 (allows you to tk your buddies a few times for shits and giggles)

TK Punish: announce, 4 punishes for boot

Smart balance: on, max 2, players not in squad, in a squad, are swappable. Squad leads and commanders are not swappable.

Language filter: not on, except for some special phrases nobody will ever guess

VOIP: enabled

Current admins: there are about 10, but only 5 of us regularly play now.

Ya but I can't handle borelord day after day after day after day, only reason I handle 24/7 wake is it has jets choppers tanks and ground combat depending on how the game is going.

I shall put Wake up so you guys can test your pings.

Ok I've put wake up and flipped some settings. In an effort to make this work, if you are a long standing member of bf2s and want to admin the wake server and get it rolling, first, add me to xfire and introduce yourself.

2nd I will give you in game admin after talking to you. I will grant you with warn and kick; ban to be added later down the road. You will not have bf2cc access, but I will register your hash for in game admin only.

That is why there is a 1 flag for USA rule. Normally I'd have 0 rules, but US is so gimped if there are J10 humpers about. As for getting shot by a J10 once you have a flag I have 0 sympathy - all you have to do is take an F35 or blackhawk and go to extreme heights and bail on the airfield with a squad. Sometimes I realize the US team is too retarded to do this, but there is no rule that allows for retarded players and is fair to the other team

In other news I've added about 5 new admins now, and have room for more as I am expecting that some people who are interested won't be playing the whole time
