If they don't send you an email, then they'll just send you a substitute product ... you'll argue that it isn't what you ordered ... they'll say that they'll be happy to take it back for a 20% restocking fee, and you'll have to pay return shipping ... you'll argue some more ... about a month later, after talking with 12 customer service reps from India named "Bob", you'll finally get an RMA to return the merchandise for purchase price.

Or, you can cancel your order and avoid the hassle.

i'm not canceling that.  there are 7 pages of disgruntled people on [H]Forums, not to mention a friend who I convinced to buy it too (didn't take much convincing tbh).

If you really think you won the hardware lottery here ... well ... then, I have some ocean front property in Galveston that I would like to show you.  This, sweetheart, is the investment opportunity of a lifetime.

Urban myth and complete arse gravy.
They can withdraw the product from sale, change the price without notice or tell you to go fuck yourself. Depends on how they want to play it.

I'm gonna have to go with OH this time.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Yeah, I think that haffey is the proud owner of 5 circa-2004 motherboards ... they've been sitting in the TigerDirect warehouse for years and they've got to move them.  What better way to do that than to make a minor listing mistake.

If it's the same as UK Distance Selling Regulations, as long as you notify them of wanting to return the goods within 7 days of purchase they have to give you back the full ammount you paid, including shipping costs and they pay return shipping.

America is not the UK.   In America, the policy is "let the buyer beware", for a business has no obligation to even take back the merchandise it sells.
