It has one just not screwed into the guitar. You see that bent metal rod? Yea thats the tremolo arm. Plus the tuner should do fine, just keep it in standard for a while.
Another thing, this guitar has only (?) 22 frets. Is that a bad thing or just right for beginners?
Having 24 frets gives you just 2 extra tones. As a beginner, you shouldn't be playing that much past the 12th fret, so 21 or 22 is just fine.
I started playing sometime last year, with similar reasons to you, it seems. It's good to know.
I don't play nearly as much as I want to, but I still can play some parts. I mainly play solos and stuff, cos my hands are too small (in my opinon) to play chords constantly.
I got a guitar from the paper for £130 and a cheapy amp. Then I upgraded my amp last april to a pretty lil Hughes and Kettner 15DFX.
Beautiful amp. My guirar guitar is pretty awesome, too.
