W/L ratio really means nothing, unless you team switch alot 80% of your wins and losse are totally out of you control.

I know on Wake you can be an absolute bad ass, but if you team mates spend all thier time fighting over planes and choppers the tanks camping the islands are going to destroy you before you ever get onshore. Thus you lose and had nothing to do with you (just an example)

yes on some maps if your an absolute bad ass pilot you can win or lose the game for your team, but most maps its not like that.

I'd have to agree that a large percentage of a player's wins and losses are out of there control, but not 80%. I'd say it's more like 50%. When I join a server, as long as the gap between teams isn't greater than 60 tickets and there's at least 2 or 3 decent players that I can find to work with, I'd say that my chances of turning the battle around in my team's favor is fairly good, especially if I have access to a tank or helicopter. I barely ever play commander (the role that has the most affect on Win/Loss) and I still manage to maintain about a 1.7 win/loss ratio. It's not great, but it's better than an average of 1 and shows that a single player can sometimes make the difference. An effective squad of at least 3 people can make an even larger difference even if their team isn't coordinated well.

Much faster than walking everywhere. Plus with the added benefit of not turning around a corner and getting road killed by a noob after you just spent the last 10 minutes trying to get to an objective.... my 2 cents.

First off put your stats in your profile...

Looking at your stats there is one thing that you can do to help yourself.

STAY OUT OF AIRPLANES!!! No seriously dude you need help, try too practice on an empty server. You've spent over 17 hours in a plane out of 221 hours, looks like you probably crash alot and have difficulties bombing... Correct?

This would probably also help your win to loss ratio, someone better will use the plane and your team will win. Don't suicide and teamkill as much as you are. Stay farther way from the action and safe.

Get all your basic ribbons and badges try to get the reasonable vets. This will make you a better play. If you can do the vet badges the game will come easily.

You said your playing support but you only have 187 resupplies? I guess that's O.K. but you should drop more packs Medic as well.

Also stay away from the special ops they have no armor and the gun isn't that great. No better than the others anyways. Also C$ forces you to take risks, turning your back on the enemy and rushing that tank.

Don't play sniper until you get the second unlock and then choose the scar as well.

Squading up with people, even average players who make a solid attempt to work as a team can change the game.  It's also the best way to help your score.  I used to play Wake Island almost exclusively.  Now I hate Wake and love the other maps for better challenges.  Find servers where your score would be in the middle of pack.  Try to play with those at the top of the scoreboard.  You can learn so much from following and helping them cap flags and stuff.  Look at my SPM since December I have raised it a full 1/4 pt.

Tips for extra points people forget.

1.  Stick close to your squadleader.  No right on his backside, but within 50ft.  A kill assist is 1 pt vs none.  This assumes your squadleader is either in a ground vehicle or on foot.

2.  If your a passenger in a vehicle and you move into an enemy flag, hop out.  The neutralize and capture assists are 1 pt each.  That's 2 pts you get for getting out of the vehicle, and you cap the flag twice as fast.

3.  If your commander assets are destroyed.  Spawn as an Engineer and repair them.  Look to kill the spec ops guy that blew them up.  Anywhere from 2 - 10 pts depending on kills and what is destroyed.  Drive a vehicle to repair them.  It's mobile self protection and the firepower from a machine gun is better than the shotgun unlock.

4.  After #3.  Look for team vehicles who need repairs.  More free points if your fast enough.  Lay AT Mines at good choke points.

5.  If your squadmates are calling for ammo, respawn as a support guy.  Throw out your ammo packs.  Someone will run them over.  Same deal as a medic.  The medic unlock is a descent weapon.

6.  If your an engineer, you can destroy enemy assets with your wrench.  Takes longer than repairing them, but it's 1 pt each.

7.  If you can steal an enemy vehicle when you cap a flag do so, wingman work great for survival.  2 Vehicles are better than 1.

8.  Learn to play every vehicle.  So you don't want to fly.  There may come a time when grabbing the airplane and bombing a cluster of enemy soldiers pays off with 5+ kills in one bomb strike.  Mobile AA guns work pretty well on infantry.  I have gotten a dozen kills in the round using mobile AA.

9.  Thinkout side the box when you attack a defended position.  A knife kill from an unexpected direction can make capping a flag easier for the squad your working with.

10.  If you enemy commander's assets are in a cappable base and you have control of that base, spawn as spec ops and blow them up.  1 pt per asset.  I had a nice enemy commander one day, he kept dropping supply boxes for me to rearm.  Make sure you blow the supply box as well, but rearm your C4 first.  I got 15 pts for blowing his stuff up before I actually killed an enemy soldier.  I got those points in the first 5 minutes I was in the server as I entered the round late.

A few tricks to improve U game play:

1. Play as a Medic and U will see were the battle is going by the flash (guys that U can rev, dead).
2. Put the knife on U thumb.
3. Put the Shock Pads on U mouse wheel.
4. Always join a Squad were the squad leader is a high ranked player (hopefully he is good and U will learn from him, stay on his him!
5. Do not run in front, look and learn, put medic bags at U team mates shooting at the enemy so they can take a hit or two!
6. Do not try to reload when it’s too tight and U ran out off ammo use the knife (quick press with U thumb) as up front in Karkand.
7. Open U Shock Pads just before U need too use them and don’t take stupid revs too far out.
8. If U shot someone move to a new position, their Medics will see U kill, than kill them both if possible after he reved his team mate.
9. When U see the RED ARTY marker DO NOT MOVE IN stay away, move in after. When U see the ARTY marker the opposite teams commander has their ARTY ready as well and if U are up front (Karkand) or some other Map with a lot of team mates around U can expect ARTY on U self soon, time to move.
10. Always keep track off the UAV and try to read the Map as good as U can to see were U team mates and the enemy is.
11. Always aim for the head two avoid the thick padding.
12. When U run into opponents press D and then Z too roll around and then press Z again to get up and then move sideways and press A and Z again.
13. Play Karkand and learn that Map first, after a while U will be able too play piano on U keyboard.
14. When U learned all this and more U will improve U SPM!

All the best, good luck!

I've done the same over the last few months bringing my spm up to 1.55 from 0.8 in october. Brought my K up from 0.7 to 1.13.   obviously neither are fantastic still, but, they are both rising consistantly day after day.

I don't really use any vehicles much, like infantry combat more Spec ops and sniper and more recently support. Reading guides on here and tips etc has really helped alot.

Good luck mate!

roughly twice as long to destroy as to repair a fully destroyed asset.

4.  Be smart.  If someone is spawn raping at the Hotel at Karkand, for heaven's sake, DON'T spawn there!  Look at the map and see where your teammates are.  Spawn there and help them.  Or, be nasty and spawn at the square as SF or Anti-Tank and go pwn the spawn raper.
Best advice you can give. You need to play with your brain. Do not spawn right next to the front unless you know it is safe. Also try to think of where you will have the advantage in every opportunity. Think of surprise and defence, as you will have the jump on them. Keep an eye on the map and where the Commander calls out "enemy spotted"; they might be right next to you.
I completely disagree with this advice for 3 reasons:
1)If someone is raping your base and they just rocked you, why not spawn back and blow their vehicle sky high?
2)If they are, indeed, raping your base or about to take it over, how better to improve your stats then spawn as an anti-tank(or in the case of troops raping spawn as support)  and help your team out? This then is related to my third point....
3)If something or someone is spawn raping, you'd think soon enough they'd try to take the base so why not spawn there and make sure you don't lose another flag? If they do turn it neutral, there is yet another point for your score to add too. My favorite battles are those with 10 of my teammates all defending a base against every mannor of armor and vehicles b/c everyone chips in to make sure they dont' take the base....IDK just my .02 cents
