- Where do Neo Cons Move To When Their Party Loses?
A better question would be "If the Democrats win, how many complaints and accusations of 'black-box tampering' or 'voter intimidation' will there be?Braddock wrote:
It's nearly D day in American politics and over the past few months we've heard many people, both in the world of celebrity and on these very boards, saying that if McCain wins they are going to move to Canada, Europe and beyond... but what happens if Obama wins? Where do conservative, right-wing Republicans move if their candidate of choice loses?
Are there any other laissez faire, cutthroat Capitalist countries out there for them?
In answer to you question, we will stay here and work our butts off to limit the downward slide of our nation.
Whew! And for a moment, I almost thought I should take you seriously.Diesel_dyk wrote:

Why they move back to their trailer parks back in the red state of Jesusland of course... then they regroup, drink some bad Bourbon, do some meth, pluck up some cowardly courage, put their pointy white hats back on and ride on the Whitehouse before it becomes the Blackhouse
But really I hope that the dumb dems turn all the illegals into citizens. That will drown out the far right voice and will put an end to the neo-cons permanently and the Republican't will be forced to move to the middle or go extinct.
hopefully to another party, I want the real republicans back
lulz. just lol. rofl.Diesel_dyk wrote:

Wow. But the left is the side of tolerance that doesn't stereotype.Diesel_dyk wrote:

What will they do? They can bend over and take it up their ass.
Just like how everyone else has been taking it up their asses from our current two presidential term disaster.

why is it cut throat, we all have the freedom to succeed or fail as our efforts dictate, oh I guess in a socialist society it is not only equal opportunity, but your govt. guarantees equal results as well.Braddock wrote:

In America, people should not need a govt. security blanket or tit to suckle on. Most of us, choose to live our lives free of govt. interference, it is those that do not want to take care of themselves that usually wind up becoming a liberal/socialist/communist. That way self reliance is not a necessity.
The real neo-cons, the ones put in power by Bush, will probably crawl back from where they came...the status of being "those crazies in the basement (of the Pentagon)" as one general put it. The rest will go back to military-industrial paid "think tanks" where they came from. As for the complicit citizenry that no longer has an outlet for their hate or paranoia, they'll reconcile into various other opposition groups or hate groups, maybe a new generation of the "black helicopter" crowd, this time with a Muslim twist to the story.
Doesn't really make sense.Scorpion0x17 wrote:

neo - new.
con - conservative.
It's in the name dude. It's in the name.
Neocons would be the quintessential right-wing, conservative, Republicans in this day and age... to an outsider like me at least.Kmarion wrote:

Yes, we all know you despise moderation lowing... you're like Ricky Bobby, "first or last, baby".lowing wrote:

Your lack of moderation and regulation has served you well; how's that bail out plan coming along? Are the fundamentals of your economy still sound?
Neoconservatives are essentially corrupted Reagan-conservatives--the majority of the Republican Party today. Normal conservatives are, well, normal conservatives.
If they cant have the country no one can.... look out for civil wars pplsCoronadoSEAL wrote:

GG two-party system for polarizing America. Hope you're happy.
Give the country another two years of a rubberstamp Congress and you'll see a shift in control of the Legislative branch.TheAussieReaper wrote:

Neocons are most certainly not "the majority of the Republican Party today". Those Reagan conservatives are wondering what has happened to their party...as are most true conservatives.nukechebi0 wrote:

No. There are at least five, if I recall correctly. There are three on my absentee ballot (Democrat, Republican, Libertarian).Pierre wrote:

oh come on its so 2 party system. The other 3 donkey parties only play because they have nothing better to do and/or feel lonely.
Blackbelts are just whitebelts who have never quit.
Hmmmmmmmm last I read your economy was melting as well, and you are still socialists, so it sounds like the global problem doesn't have as much to do with politics as it does with people paying off their fucking debts.Braddock wrote:

Turning my life over to the govt. is not modernization braddock, it is submissive, but yeah I can see when you would be comfortable with that.
When did Turnbull take over the libs anyway?TheAussieReaper wrote:
Don't come here. Our Liberals might not be in power anymore, but they are our Conservative party.
Don't let that fool you, we are very much run by a socialist Labor party.
Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.
Can you deny that if there were tighter controls on lending organisations we wouldn't have all of the bad debt that we currently have? Deregulation and free market policies are a byproduct of globalisation and Europe has long straddled the fence between globalisation and socialism (despite the two seeming somewhat contradictory in principle)... to blame the current wobble on the Socialist aspect as opposed to the globalisation aspect seems utterly blinkered to me as it was this very lack of regulation (both personal, in terms of regulating our own borrowing habits, and professional, in terms of letting the banks run wild) that has gotten us to where we are now.lowing wrote:

EDIT: In fact it could be argued that globalisation has gotten us into this mess and the powers that be are now trying to use socialism to get us out.
