I hope this comes out so it lowers the prices of the I Phone 3G, What do you guys think about it?

A picture comparing Apple’s iPhone with the iPhone Nano which is supposed to come out in October 2008 was published on Flickr. The iPhone Nano, as usual, will be smaller than it’s first generation predecessor but also cheaper retailing for a price of $300 or less.

I have the ipod touch (16GB) and the only difference between mine and the actual iphone is the ability to call people and internet from any place. Everything else is the same including wifi, apps, etc. The nano version of the iphone won't do anything other than make people buy the 3G iphone because no one wants a mini ipod touch that can make calls, no matter what the price is.

I could see it working. Theres still a good market of people who just want a phone to be, a, phone. ZOMG. Carrying your cell, and any other generic mp3, or even an older ipod isn't all that practical. Assuming it is ''way cheaper'', I don't think they'd make something that had no market.

I'd get it for my niece or something.

tbh, I agree. If this came out when the orginal iPhone released (pre-3G), then it might be more popular. No Internet on an iPhone is like no shoelaces for shoes. You can still wear them, but they don't work as well.

However, I'm sure some third party will 'crack' it or make a browser for it...

I still don't see why a 120GB Classic is half the price of a 30GB Touch. I would like to get a touch but neither the original or the nano version seems worth it when the Classics are a much better deal. About the only up side is the wifi.

yeah i always thought touch's were overrated and over priced, i gotta zune am just waiting till they release the internet, cause they already have the wifi abilities

How cheap are we talking? Except for the touch-screen, my Pearl can surf the internet, use GPS, take video, send MMS, and support I believe 2GB of space with a miniSD card. For $70.

Yes and? Your dependent on WiFi anyway, at least with EDGE or 3G you have it anywhere you have signal (3G is win for GPS & Google maps though)

The discussion is about the Nano iPhone...

oh and I got the 3G iPhone, id wait a few months

As of now it has two Airplane modes, one called "Airplane Mode" and one called "Enable 3G"

I'm forced to disable 3G because It will drop calls (I can hear them, but they cant hear me, then it drops) with "4" bars
Apparently the Network is overloaded or something with the massive amounts of 3G iPhones so the network isnt working properly (in AZ at least)

But then its like, BROWSE THE WEB 2x FASTER, when we get that working...
